internet warriors and the grammar ad hominem attack
power dynamics dont make sex between parties illegal per se. a boss can sleep with an employee and it isnt rape.
the power dynamics don’t make it rape tho, otherwise they wouldnt have to have the statute to address that issue.i agree with the law and any consent wouldnt vitiate the underlying act. i was merely pointed out that the article paints an image of rapes that isnt the true picture.
lol ok
not at all. thats actually why the statute was created to fill that gap. there is no law that says a power dynamic, (not even sure how you’re defining the dnamic) is rape.
internet warriors always focused on the bs when they can’t mount an opposition. so bc i type these responses quickly with little attention to grammar and punctuation im not a lawyer?
you guys just like to find these to express faux outrage
ive done it for 11 years. my partner for 15. i dont need to read up on it. these articles paint a false picture and is far from the reality
stop being narrow minded. where did i state any of that. the article misinforms by giving a false image of rape at rikers and other prisons. it invokes feelings that are largely not shared by any of the parties involved. depositions are peppered with inmates stating how much they love the officer, and officers leaving…
its rape because of the statute. the article should reflect that. the image of mass rapes by guards, without explaining what constitutes rape in jail, gives a false impression.
like i said im well aware of the law. i sue on behalf of inmates, but the articles misinformes about the actual nature of the acts that takes place. most people reading this will have images of violent rapes and thats not the what occurs here. that partly explains why the official says this still will happen because…
my work takes me to rikers and prison generally. the rapes by guards are largely consensual sex between the prisoners and guards, but because its not permitted it is deemed sex. this is an important distinction that should not be glossed over. most people reading this likely think its forced sex/assault.
caster isnt the only athelte suspected to have elevated testorone levels. the first 3 , wambui and the burindi woman, are also suspected
ive had a few client say theyve been denied this outright or delayed it as some sort of punishment. and this is new york city. its a common practice
white and male? in an attempt to draw up a familiar and hated target (on this board at least) you also silence the rest of us bernie supporters that arent white males. lets leave the bigotry and misandry out of this conversation. we’ve had enough of it
gawker felt the same one too at one time. im sure they had lawyers too. one side usually loses even when both are lawyered up
hulk was a sex tape. wasnt privacy the issue? if she can establish that her damages would be even bigger
the lawsuit would be bad, like hulk hogan bad for Kim and Kanye
i personally prefer the one where Chris Brown punched Riri
