Very nice, Luv. Another John here. John Lee Hooker with The Doors. Roadhouse Blues. Jim Morrison gives a little narrative opener to set the scene. You dig?

If you remember this song, you are old as fuck. It used to be a love song. Now, it’s a stalker song. So, I’m posting this for my stalker buddy.
I don’t remember the show, but it was Christopher Cross playing Ride Like the Wind, when suddenly Michael McDonald took over the keyboards and sang his “Such a long way to go” bit. Cross tried hard to hide his surprise and turned it up a notch for the rest of the song.
Probably the last time I watched SNL, too. Here’s one of my fav’s from back in the day:
Kid dynamite. Pacifier. I need this after liquid swords was omitted from NSS’s listicle
If I had more stars, I would fling them your way. I am a to-the-death Costello fan. Well done, meany!
Stevie Ray Vaughan. Voodoo Chile.
Scotty. Draw your brakes. From jimmy cliffs awesome the harder they come soundtrack
I had this one stuck in my head
There’s still time to post “Oogum Boogum”!
Grand Funk Railroad, Aimless Lady.
A Brenton Wood tune to tap your feet to, “Gimme Little Sign”.
Here’s T-Bone Walker with “Goin to Chicago”. According to the OP, this is November 1966 in London. Look at the line up; Dizzy Gillespie, Teddy Wilson, Louis Bellson, Clark Terry, Coleman Hawkins, Zoot Sims, Jimmy Moody, Benny Carter and Bob Cranshaw.
Ray don’t want to hear about change:
Jeff Buckley would have been 49 today.
The Fixx. One Thing Leads To Another. Yeah, I struggled in the 80s because blues is my jam. But there were a few good bands, and the videos were entertaining under certain circumstances. Am I oversharing?
Pete Seeger is never a bad choice. The first time I remember consciously being aware of “Ode to Joy” was in Seegers version. I still love it.
Bass culture. The title track off dub poet’s Linton kwesi johnson’s awesome album from 1980.
I was going to put a depressing somg on here but fuck that.
