Found this on TV Tropes: Once donned, the teams can’t remove the individual components they tried on. Not because of clingy space magic or anything. The pieces of the suit literally drill themselves into the guys' respective bodies.
They seem to be not wearing jumpsuits when they find the gear in the trailer, but wear the jumpsuits for most of the rest. It even has a Guardians of the Galaxy-aping "our jumpsuits are uncomfortable" pose.
