I read the reviews and almost didn’t buy the book. But I did end up reading it and I, too, enjoyed it.

And if you’re not a fan of the prose style, the audiobook for Aftermath is also an excellent option.

I just went full-time as a freelancer. I’m loving my new workplace, but I think my co-worker hates me. He’s always trying to disrupt my workflow, and he takes it to ridiculous extremes—-he even threw up on the floor next to my desk and looked at me like I’m supposed to be the one to clean it up.

Great! Would have been perfect if you had coined the Law of Solar Brightness (ha ha ha) instead of switching to gravity. Nothing like a sweet progression to illustrate the construction of a scientific law.

Poor font choice — on my monitor, the lower case “e” looks very much like the lower case “c”, and the capital “A” doesn’t have a cross-bar. Readability is much worse than it was before.

An important point to note here: all of this is kind of contingent on whether you have a good Dungeon Master (and good players, but it's really important to have a good DM). A mediocre DM will create a midly fun, but not really challenging or interesting game that probably just feels like a board game, and a bad DM
