I thought he was just apologizing for Acid. #psp

@Furysetzer: Six months ago friends asked if Gamestop was a good company to invest in and I told them "No way". While they are doing good business, they've reach saturation and they're still opening new stores. They remind me of Boston Market before they went bankrupt- they just grew too quickly and started

@SacGamer: If the ESRB didn't exist we would have a government ratings board. Would you like that? How would you like it if game ratings moved at the speed of say the FDA? Or if games were censored depending on who is in office ("You have to remove those two characters kissing- they aren't married!"). And if we

@tesseracte: Indie games on XBLA and iPhone are no different than user-generated content in Little Big Planet. Do you want every level LBP submitted to the ESRB before it could be posted?

Translation: "We're so desperate because Sony's going to shut down this fiasco if a miracle doesn't happen that we'll try anything at this point."

Oh, it's dated alright.

@supersonu1: I think that is part of Randy's point, though. Left 4 Dead's DLC is free on Steam but not on Live. Valve claims they want to give it away for free, but Microsoft won't let them which makes no sense. Why would Microsoft not want free content for L4D (they don't publish it, so they don't get money

@Doomstink: I thought that too for a second- then they mention Intellivision games which Atari (Infogrames) doesn't own. Funny that none of the games shown in those screenshots were ever arcade games, only home console games for the Intellvision and the 2600.

@Kyolux (Corsair): More likely they realized they were PS3 exclusives that relied on a piece of hardware that has only sold to 2% of the last place console. Armed with that sobering statistic, the pets took their own lives.

@mangs: More likely Sony can't keep a ship date to save its life. Remember both the PS3 and Home were supposed to launch in "Spring" but ended launching at the end of their release years. The wands will probably not make it out until summer or fall at this rate.

@gregdobs754: More likely taking down PSN so the 3.01 update doesn't brick any more PS3s.

@excel_excel: Still this guy did better than the Republican behind him in line who had her sign his nice, shiny PS3. None of his friends believe him when he shows it to them. "Can't you see it? No, you have to tilt it!"

@Jus in melancholy: All of Microsoft's launch titles for the 360 were $50. If third parties didn't follow that example (and instead raised their prices to $60), why on earth would they follow Microsoft to $40 and lose even more money?

@doughboyx: OK. Let's look at the price another way. A movie is what, two hours long? A game can last at least five times that and sometimes fifty times that. So if a $60 game provides between 10 and 100 hours of entertainment, your average Blu-ray for equivalent entertainment value should have an MSRP between

@abort_user: Actually, all the first party launch titles for the 360 were $50. It was third parties that started the $60 pricing. Activision cited higher productions costs for the next-gen and since they got away with it, everyone followed their example. Why charge $50 when the consumer will gladly pay $60? Some

@maximegalon01: How many GAME DESIGNERS have appeared as a guest on a network talk show? I can only think of one other (Will Wright). Something so rare that is 100% related to videogames is newsworthy on a videogame website. Certainly more newsworthy than say "Koei releases Dynasty Warriors 25- now with bunnies"

@Soldier_CLE: EA should offer to settle with the guy for a few cartons of Twinkees and Pork Rinds and let nature take its course.

Burgertime and Burnin' Rubber (aka Bump n' Jump)! Two classics that have never seen a modern console release outside of MAME. Hopefully they will be proper emulations and not some hack ports.
