@Nahir: Do what Steam does? You mean take thirty seconds to authorize your system over the internet EVERY TIME you launch a game? No thanks. Steam is actually way more intrusive and restrictive than SecurROM- which only authorizes at the time of install. Steam and Valve have just done a better job of marketing

"Hardware Survey"? Is that the new euphemism for spyware? Funny how people will get on a moral high horse about DRM but sing the praises of Steam while it's constantly beaming details about your pc back to Valve.

$50 (the full retail price) /12 = 4.17. No where near $8. You can easily find 13 months for <$40 from most online retailers which makes it effectively ~$3 a month. Gee, how much does Qore cost?

@VideoGameFan: And if they did put those titles on Xbox originals, naysayers (probably including you) would cry "But I can pick up Halo2 for $5 at Gamestop! What a rip." It makes much more sense to have games that were uncommon than ones that have millions of copies floating around.

@Daisuash: Wow. Microsoft will so copy this idea- except they've had an online video show hosted by a cute girl called Inside Xbox for several months. Once again, Sony is late to the party.

@cmoody17: The number of people who call themselves Christians may be increasing, but how many of those would Jesus recognize as following his example (by not being judgmental pricks)? Christian investment firm? Nothing says Jesus like a diversified portfolio!

@Quine: Points can be gifted and be "on sale". Every now and then there'll be a sale for 1600 points for $15 at Target. You're never going to see, "$20 for $15" at Target. Ironically, the Playstation Online Store treats currency like points in that you have to "fill up" your account with money instead of buying

Yeah, because Germany was such a peace-loving, violence-free society until videogames came along.

Definitely a solution in search of a problem.

@Gen.Grievous: Console sales don't really mean much especially when Sony is still selling the PS3 hardware at a loss while Nintendo and Microsoft make a profit on each console sold. The real money (profit) is in software and that's where Sony is trailing the pack by a large margin. The losses from Sony's game

Wasn't this email posted like about two weeks ago in another article on Kotaku? Is there some kind of internet time dilation in Australia?

@hdog: That's the way I read it. The NFLPA felt it owed them a favor for the huge sum of money it paid for the multi-year exclusive NFL license. If anything, the email absolves EA of any wrongdoing because it doesn't say EA asked them to block Take Two's efforts in any way. Take Two is probably REALLY regretting

@warreng_online: That's a 2600jr, not a 7800 (the 7800 is a little larger). While the 7800 is a great system, the Kareteka port is one of the worst travesties in its game library. Ballblazer is the reason to own a 7800 (and to play all your old 2600 games).

So instead of creepy, hollow-head people like in the 360 ads, we're supposed to associate the PS3 with trash and back alleys?

With Redstone's daughter as the chairwoman, they were somewhat safe. Now Midway has lost the personal protection of their corporate sugar daddy. Redstone is likely trying to be off the sinking ship before it goes under for good. Unless MK vs DC is a major surprise hit (unlikely), Midway is going to be sold (if they

Still doesn't look anywhere near as good as Zootfly's unauthorized prototype.

@TRT-X: Because Sony released the SDK that supported them to third party developers AFTER the firmware went out to consumers. Adding trophy support would have meant switching SDK libraries after the game was in beta and into final testing. For an open world game as huge as Fallout, that could have delayed the PS3

@Kaneda: It's not the individual components that trip up PC performance, it's their interactions. If you have a different driver than they tested on, if your OS didn't get the right service pack, if you have certain anti-virus software running, if you have a motherboard that has some crappy sound chip that sucks up

href="#c8657245">Raiden218: Then don't be shocked when Fallout 3 sells for sh*t on the PC and Bethesda announces "console-only" going forward.

"Honey, why is the dog writhing in pain?"
