I’m not at all up-to-date on Call of Duty (I’ve only played the original Modern Warfare trilogy) but I remember replaying those campaigns a fair amount. I even played MW3 on both Wii and then Xbox 360 just because I was curious to see the differences between both versions.

I’ve said this before but it is wild to me that this is now the second time that Infinity Ward has started a Modern Warfare trilogy only for Sledgehammer Games to (somewhat controversially) develop the third entry.

My son loves it because it has no deadzone and he can use it on android and pc with dedicated modes for them.

I think it’s kinda interesting you referred to Gotham Knights as “Arkham Knight” at the end there.

Another thing to keep in mind: You need a controller to play Village on the iPhone 15 Pro. I mean, technically, you can play this horror sequel with touchscreen controls. But it’s almost unplayable like that, with all the buttons of an Xbox controller covering up the already crowded screen with not only more icons,

Sounds like an evolution of Rockstar’s big animation system (Euphoria?) that I think they’ve used in every game since GTA IV and, uh, has led to some interesting animations. Haven’t played much RDR2 but a lot of animations still looked pretty goofy in GTA V so I assume this will do a better job.

Okay, but I mean... there was that whole expose from a couple years back about it being a toxic workplace for a lot of people.

Destiny is a GaaS title, so no, that’s not supposed to be the case at all.

I’m admittedly pretty biased to Remedy but after I played Control last year I did a bit of a marathon and replayed the first Alan Wake and then played Quantum Break and I gotta say: Alan Wake holds up.

Whenever I get an Xbox pop-up while watching a show or movie (ie. “So-and-so is online”) my wife and I will joke that it’s an achievement based on whatever just happened in the thing we’re watching.

Sega Ages Sonic 2 does something similar where it’ll play the spin-dash sound through the controller vibrations and it’s weirdly one of my favorite uses of rumble that I’ve experienced in a long time.

I’m 99% sure that’s when I picked it up on Android as well.

What trailer? Did I miss something in the article?

That does make sense, but what’s weird is it kinda looks like some of the figures have regular legs and some have shorter legs, so it seems like they weren’t explicitly avoiding the shorter legs.

Voice acting jobs for video games pretty famously don’t provide residuals, so that was almost certainly not an option (at least not generally; I can’t rule out that some folks have gotten them). Presumably that is something they’re going to push for when they strike.

Huh yeah you’re right. I’m not any kind of Lego expert so I dunno what the downsides of the short legs are (am I right that they don’t bend?) but yeah I agree they’d look better with the shorter legs.

Considering the game was done as a non-union job and everybody used pseudonyms, I’m not shocked to hear it also paid terribly. I hope the later games paid better but I also would not be shocked if they didn’t either.

I’ve literally been working in tech and games for the entirety of my career so while I’m certainly expanding my search all my experience is focused on this sector.
