That may be what you think high level competition is about but clearly The Pokemon Company disagrees with you. For better or worse, they decide what it being tested by the competition and for them, “being able to raise your own Pokemon” is apparently an integral part of it.

Well, it sure seems that The Pokemon Company considers raising monsters to be part of the competition, so unfortunately you’d be wrong on this one.

Yeah, neither of those things are great. I’m probably the last person to get hung up on resolution and FPS but when the new version of the game which is ostensibly supposed to be an improvement over prior releases is only as good or worse than earlier releases, it ain’t great.

So, uh... they’re probably gonna delist the HD collections from the Xbox marketplace when these come out, huh? They have been on sale for dirt cheap plenty of times so for Xbox players if these are more or less the same versions you might just want to try and get the Xbox 360 versions if they’re cheaper.

If it’s running in 720p on the Switch I think that’s fine but if it’s running in 720p on PS5/Series X that’s probably not a sign of a good port.

I think you’re probably right BUT I want to believe

This is a reductive way of putting it, but in general the Switch should be able to run anything from the Xbox 360 or PS3 era about as well as it ran on those systems. That doesn’t seem to be the case here but I also wouldn’t be shocked if this is a relatively quick port job without too much focus on optimization.

This is a bummer but I guess it’s also not too surprising, especially since Microsoft’s been driving web purchasing of any BC-capable 360 game into the modern Xbox store for a while now.
