Yeah I’ve mostly been avoiding Lynels but I have been fighting a bunch of silver bokoblins/moblins and it still kinda feels like they’re damage sponges (more than they did in Breath of the Wild, at least). Somebody else recommended using Molduga parts, but I’ve only fought a few of them for the same reason I haven’t…

So I haven’t killed a Molduga in a while so I guess I just need to start farming them.

See I just finished the game as well and now that I'm going after stuff like all the Gleeoks, I'm definitely feeling like I hit a ceiling on my weapons. It seems like I keep topping it at around 40 or 50 when I fuse based on power. I guess I need to start finding better weapons to use as a base.

We all spend a lot of time arguing about what makes a Final Fantasy game, as if the series didn’t immediately establish right out the gate that it was about reinvention and not being beholden to a specific framework.

Huh. There are definitely Final Fantasy games where some characters are paper-thin but I’ve never heard that complaint lodged at the entire FFVIII cast before. Wild!

Yeah, I generally don’t enjoy character action games that much, so while this might be the best one since DMC5 or whatever, it’s not something I’m super interested in playing. I’ve still got to give the demo a shot, though.

I feel like I did a mix of gambits and manual abilities but I played the game back in 2007-2008 so I can’t remember all that well. I did pick up the Switch port for cheap sometime last year so I do mean to play (at least some of it) again so I’m wondering how I’ll balance the gambit use all these years later.
