Yeah I regret trying to talk to this dude. He sounds like I did when I was 15 and thought reading forums made me a big brain business genius.

Bungie was just acquired in 2022 by Sony! That’s why I listed them with a bunch of other Sony acquisitions after you listed a bunch of Microsoft acquisitions. Why would you ever think I was talking about when they were bought by Microsoft??? What are you even doing my dude.

Based on my very limited knowledge (I read Wookiepedia yesterday) it sounds like Kyle Katarn stole the original plans, but then in this game Rianna Saren steals... updated plans? Or something? But also she’s actually working with Kyle Katarn so in a sense this kinda ties into what he did in Dark Forces?

Ha ha yeah that’s honestly the main reason I remember this game.

Gotcha. Yeah, it was the CoD BlOps guy I recognized, not the CoD AdWa guy.

Well, the same could be said for Commander Shepard, but when basically all* of the marketing is showing off the generic white guy, I think it’s a valid complaint.

A woman is about as far from me as I can get.

I was trying to see how many of those characters I could identify and just kept running into dudes I don’t recognize at all.

None of those were studios purchased by Embracer and, in fact, were all purchased by Microsoft or one of its subsidiaries.

Aside from Battlefront II, which features Iden Versio as its main protagonist (though there are missions where you play as Luke Skywalker or Han Solo); Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith, an expansion for Dark Forces II that features Mara Jade as its star; and Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter which has Adi Gallia as its

Yeah and the fact that these are still available behind the subscription means they’d still be liable in case of any potential litigation, so if that had been the reason behind this it wouldn’t really help them.

Sure, that’s fine. I think the main problem I have with your argument is the assumption that most of these studios would have been shut down or otherwise have to give up on developing their own games, which I don’t think we actually have any data to support.

I guess it’s possible, but it seems odd that they would do this now after the game has been on the market for ~10 years.

God now I wish they continued selling it just because of how weird those eventual conversations would be.

Jumping right out of her contract (but bouncing off a solo movie first).

At least not before they do a statue of Shepard dancing in the club.

Literally my point was that Embracer took on all these acquisitions without actually being able to afford them. I made no comments about any of these being hostile takeovers.

Maybe a problem in the far flung future but this is literally just fancy autocorrect. The issues with AI in 2023 are pretty much all about theft, its ability to create false information and a sweeping elimination of labor, not whether the language model will suddenly become sentient.

Any indication this is made using GB Studio? I feel like this isn’t the first random Game Boy game from an established brand in the last 12 months and my assumption was that with how easy GB Studio is to use we were gonna see a bunch more new Game Boy games.

Y’know, as somebody who has generally enjoyed all the recent Star Wars movies and shows I can’t stress enough how much my interest in waning in the upcoming projects.
