Yeah, my dad is Cuban and identifies as liberal/democrat and he makes racist jokes often but claims to just be "joking around" and tells me to not take it seriously.

Most Latin countries have racist tendencies. I'm from Puerto Rico and they refer to anyone who is Asian as "Chinese" and my parents tend to make racist jokes all the time (which horrifies me, I definitely don't condone it).
