Husband and I are living in Australia. We had our ballots emailed them to us on 19 Sept, and Fedexed them back on 21 Sept. $80 well spent.

I’m waiting for my ballot and I feel like a kid trying to sleep on Christmas Eve.

There’s still a lot of stigma around weight and “personal choices” even in the most leftist spaces, it’s considered a “good” prejudice, there’s an excellent podcast named You’re Wrong About by two journalists who research several misunderstood or misremembered events, one of the many topics they go over is the Obesity

Right. Like did you lower your prices when you moved into “poor areas”? If not, my choice would be to load up a shopping cart at Dollar General, or feed my family at McDonald’s for the same amount of money it would cost to buy a carton of eggs and a loaf of bread at Whole Foods.

The amount of fat-shaming, food-shaming, and shaming of poor folks for being poor in this thread is just gross. I’m terribly disappointed in all of you concern trolling here under the guise of “health.” Wellness culture, a thing to which this Libertarian a-hole clearly subscribes is toxic. Is it good to eat things

“Whole Foods has opened up stores in inner cities. We’ve opened up stores in poor areas. And we see the choices. It’s less about access and more about people making poor choices, mostly due to ignorance,”

It is, but I’m more of a warehouse grocery girl myself. Buy cheap ingredients, make your own good food.

Absolutely it is cheap, but training and running a marathon is extremely time consuming.

Hmmmm, I wonder what types of folks have the time to train for a marathon? I wonder who has the time and the means to do extensive yoga?

Do you know what else is a fact?

This attitude is precisely why so many of MY patients waited and continue to wait too long to receive care, often for things that would increase their success in achieving healthier habits. Can you tell me where the time and money comes from for these visits? Also, what about the millions without insurance? Food

During my five month furlough this year I had a lot of time to think about the cost of food and it’s nutritional value. I’m not counting pennies, but I knew I had to be more conscious of what I purposed and how many meals I could get out of it.

My family was working poor, and we were even on food stamps for several months at one point, despite two parents working allegedly good full-time jobs.

“Look, virtually nobody is getting sick from this. Just the fat, the poor, the old, those people that have ever been previously ill, the young, tall people and short people, a couple dogs. Pretty much nobody is getting it! We should in no way change our behavior or attempt to mitigate this plague.”

A few weeks ago, the media noticed that Kate Middleton clearly had spent some time on a beach or tanning bed during quarantine. She and William were giving a Zoom speech on how strong “we” should continue to be strong and thanking first responders.

OTOH, I do respect the Windsors’ conduct during the Second World War.”

I love your posts but I find this conversation to be inappropriate at this point. These are serious allegations and what the victims went through was horrific

Amy needs the VP candidate to be a WOC because then she can say she lost because the person was a minority. If a white woman becomes the running mate, then she’d have to acknowledge the choice wasn’t about race and was about Amy as an individual.

Amy is a known Mean Girl so this passive aggressive insult was intentional.

This may be terrible of me, but... I hope Trump gets COVID-19 at his rally (though it is highly unlikely he will even be within spitting distance of the people who adore him for his hate-filled tirades)
