Feminists are against prostitution – let’s not fall into the neoliberal normalisation trap of “sex work.” Paid rape isn’t work, it’s rape. Sexual autonomy is not for sale.

What’s funny is that Feminist Current regularly has actual sex workers guest post and tell their stories. Many, many in the comments, too. Being pro-Nordic model and being anti-sex-worker are not the same thing, objectively, rather than hyperbolically.

I just finished my PhD thesis and submitted it. This was a 7 year journey and my life has changed so much. I sacrificed so much to it - earning power, relationships, joy. I also feel I gained so much skills, confidence, and lifelong value.

Internet porn has ruined men, as far as I’m concerned. It’s so deeply normalized degrading, violent sex strictly for the male gaze. Of course it all existed before, but early and frequent exposure has deeply damaged mens’ psyches and lessened their ability to see women as consensual partners deserving of their own…

There are actually decent reasons to list biological sex, mostly medical ones. As much as it might bother some people, there are actual important differences between male and female bodies that can dictate health concerns and treatments....so yes, I don’t have a problem denoting sex on a birth certificate.

We don’t though! Sex is what is listed in your birth certificate. Her condition is “intersex” not “intergender.”
