That chase was definitely the best action the show’s done.  It was great!

Weathers did an excellent job with the big vehicle chase. One of the best action sequences they’ve had so far.

The studio had lost its identity in the years since its 1990s renaissance, churning out generic computer-animated fare like Chicken Little and Meet The Robinsons.

Wanted to dispute just a little the description of Meet the Robinsons as generic computer animated fare. I didn’t watch it until recently, because back then I was all about Pixar while Disney films had been lackluster. But darn if when I finally did watch it wasn’t a really cool, off kilter 50's esque vision of time

One that seems to be completely overlooked these days is Greedy, which is insane given the cast. Fox, Phil Hartman (amazing, as always), Kirk Douglas, Ed Begley Jr, Nancy Travis, prime Olivia D’Abo, Bob Balaban, Jere Burns, Colleen Camp, Khandi Alexander, even a child Kirsten Dunst...that’s a greatest hits of 80s

My God, practicing with the cameras off, trying out some details with your music consultant, then Huey Lewis tosses in a “perfect” throwaway, hanging around like an extra. I choked up. I wouldn’t be allowed in the same room with either of them. IMDB claims Huey Lewis was uncredited.

The McDonald’s with the Officer BigMac climber was the best McDonald’s and 5-year-old me never understood why we even went to other McDonald’s.

Someone reboot James Bond Jr. but keep the theme song:

Counterpoint: It’s one of the funnest movies ever made.

This hurt a bit to read. I feel incredibly old knowing someone who writes for a pop-culture food site didn’t know about McDonaldland.

The first movie is my favorite adaptation of the TMNT (with the 4Kids series close behind) but my reaction to this is a big, hefty “NO.” The time has passed. Any potential the movie would have would be ruined by executive meddling anyhow.

Most musician biopics are basically just Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story only played entirely straight.

You want to get to Capone? Here’s how you get him: The Chicago Way

The NYT obit had an interesting quote where Connery compared the careers of Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas and noted that Lancaster had a more successful later career because he transitioned away from leading roles while Douglas always wanted to be the star. Connery willfully followed in the footsteps of Lancaster,

That’s the Chicago Way”

Of all the talent involved in movies, cinematographers seem to be the least ashamed of their low-budget, take-any-gig pasts, probably because even an artistic failure is still a chance to practice and experiment. Hell, even Dean Cundey — another respected Spielberg collaborator — shot an Ilsa movie and his fair share

My favorite story is that of Wally Pfister, who got his start shooting direct-to-video action films and soft core porn. Then one of his films got into Sundance, where he met a filmmaker named Christopher Nolan, who needed a DP for his new film, Memento.

I don’t even know what your point is.

Gaetano is a true psychopath. He is also a narcissist and his total love of self makes him a physical coward. It’s easy to bully and murder the defenseless. It’s another matter when an armed aggressor is coming for you.
