I was 4 when it came out, so too young to really get it, and also it kind of freaked me out. So I’ve never had much attachment to it. Tron, which came out that same summer, is totally my jam.

Adam F. Goldberg (“The Goldbergs”) and Ernest Cline (“Ready Player One”) are oddly dismissive of it, considering their major works are set in the 1980’s and “E.T.” is a seminal work. Adam on the show rhapsodizes about “The Goonies” and Cline claims that “Explorers” is the best. Bizarre.
Pretty disappointed that Dolores was only 1-gunning things.
I spent most of the rest of the episode just wanting to watch Pulp videos instead.
Oh, it was a Nendoroid of Nitocris from Fate/Grand Order.
No Person of Interest?
Apparently, which is odd since she apparently still lives in Los Angeles while Supergirl films in Vancouver (Grey’s filmed in LA).
Obrigado.
Ditto! I watched on and off after that. They were probably one of my first Ships.
Hahahaha her look was a little on the nose. She looked like a newswoman from the 80s but she played the part well and the kid has moxie
Also ... bare minutes after Mike told the work crew that they should never, ever talk about what happened to them, here’s Kai deciding he really needs to talk about what happened. He should be relieved he got off with just a punch in the face.
I applaud all your sentiments. However, J Lo didn’t get snub. That performance was by no means Oscar worthy. More opportunities for people of color to land these big/attention getting roles would be lovely. The types of roles and movies people of color often get and how hard they are marketed are the true problems to…
Hells to the yeah.
this is my favorite kind of review because it really brings out the ‘hey don’t be mean to the movie!’ crowd. your emotional reaction to this review will be stronger than any you get from the movie!
Oh I see, I should have figured it’s about being a baby machine. Childless females don’t qualify for superhero status.
I enjoyed Once Upon a Time...but like, 90% of that enjoyment came from luxuriating in Leo and Pitt just hanging around in this pretty picture Hollywood. That could have been the entire movie, and I would have asked for more.
Purple monkey dishwasher.
For years I was a chronic lurker on the old site... like I’d spend hours and hours just reading the comments. It’s really sad what’s become of it.
She won a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, a SAG, and a critic’s choice award for the role. It seemed like a forgone conclusion. But I honestly hadn’t really heard of the movie until she started winning everything.
Aw shit, are Sandler and Dafoe doing a gritty reboot of The Super Mario Bros?
Because I think I would actually purchase a ticket for that...
