I would watch Sanaa Lathan in just about anything.
I am a bit embarrassed I haven’t seen Love & Basketball. That is one of those movies that belongs in the category of Shawshank Redemption (obviously not to that amazingly huge extent)...it ostensibly wasn’t a hit and was forgotten but it is still on everybody’s lists as an important and influential movie. Meaning yes…
Things I really liked about Gotham:
Love and Basketball was the one that came to mind for me. It may not have been as successful to begin with as some others, but I hear more people still talking about it.
Well, he doesn’t *technically* say anything bad about True Colors, but there are several heaping helpings of subtext within his comments. (The remark about heading back to New York afterwards leaps to mind.)
I wish DC Universe would make a show with her as Catwoman.
oh well forget everything i just said!
I just created an account to star this comment.
I think we can count Edd in the deadpool after that line from Samwell.
Hot take: Klyden is the Keiko O’Brien of The Orville. As a person, it’s pretty clear he is struggling with a life in space he really doesn’t want and taking out those frustrations on his spouse, and as a character on a TV show his purpose is solely to throw complications at Bortus and exemplify all the “bigoted…
It’s like the episode where he and Bortus get addicted to cigarettes, or the one where Bortus grows a mustache. It’s weird to see him be funny in a b-plot or background gag when he’s a complete bastard whenever he’s part of the a-plot.
He went almost a whole minute without being an asshole.
I was just gonna say, Sacrifice of Angels would like to have a word... or any of a dozen other DS9 episodes...
I finally got around to watching The Last Jedi this weekend. I liked it fine and don’t understand why people were hating it so much. It wasn’t the greatest film of all time, but felt like it fit right in the rest of the series. Maybe I just don’t have the same dedication to the series as others, but that is my…
“About that push...” a shaky grin...a blokey shrug. “Women...whadaya do?”
Ron Canada was also Gabriel Jones in Nick Fury: Agent Of S.H.I.E.L.D. !!!
Jaime: Gosh it’s lovely in Winterfell this time of year. The wind in the barren trees, the people with their grubby scowling faces, the smell of dogshit roasting on an open fire... It’s been ages. What’s taken me so long to get back here, I wonder?
Oh, and let’s not forget the time I stuck a knife in Jory Cassel’s eye!
I’ve never watched this movie and when I read the Gabriel quote in this story, I was like, “Woah, John Cusak OD’d in this movie!? That is way darker than I thought!”
