Close was nominated five times in the 80s (3 times Supporting, twice Leading), and didn’t win. Then no nominations in the 90s and 00's until 2012. Looking at her movies in those 20 years, nothing really stands out as memorable. Maybe Air Force One.

It was watching the western Bad Girls and 12 Monkeys that I got a crush on Madeline Stowe.

I watched this movie as a kid and then just a few years ago again. Some of it is funny, but kinda broad like the ending where Kevin Kline is dragged down the stairs by the serial killer.
