It’s also only if the candidate uses complete sentences.
I dare you to haul four cubic yards of anything in a “classic” Ranger, considering a 2000 K3500 can’t fit that much in an 8’ box.
I can’t speak for Tacomas, but Rangers? If you went by the chassis tags and the DMV, they weren’t really that useful as a truck. After you account for the driver and all their personal crap in the cab, you were only “supposed” to have maybe 1,000 lbs of additional load on/behind them.
The ones that haven’t realized a hatchback does everything they need with better fuel efficiency.
I remember a few weeks ago, NPR’s Morning Edition was interviewing someone with the WHO and they kept hounding them. “Why haven’t you declared it a pandemic? Isn’t it a pandemic? With so many infections across so many countries, that HAS to count as a pandemic!”
I know, I know, it’s Jalopnik, so the answer is always Miata. Let’s not allow that to diminish just how shitty an MGB is. My dad has one, and everything about it drives me into a frothing rage.
Fine. I’m wrong. You win.
She clearly didn’t fully understand what she had gotten herself into. There’s no way Bill didn’t realize that - in fact, he seemed to (ab)use that to his advantage.
I just recently listened to the first two seasons of Slate’s Slow Burn. I was a tween during the Clinton impeachment, so in between not caring and not understanding, I surely had plenty of bad takes.
What?
I tried being a good owner and checked/adjusted the valve lash. I didn’t realize that the rear cam seal (the half-moon rubber part that is NOT built into the valve cover gasket/seal) fell out.
After I swapped in the W58, my ‘84 might just have been the favorite of all the cars I’ve owned. But after 22 years in central NY (and a brief stint in Ohio), everything behind the b-pillar was starting to turn into Swiss cheese.
“Why would you buy an MGB?” Instead of, or even in addition to, ANY car, just... why?
There are objectively similar cars that can be had in similar condition for far less, is my point. If you don’t need six air cooled cylinders hanging onto the rear bumper for dear life, is this a good price?
I absolutely love the second generation Supra. But I’m not going to pay MkIV money for a MkII that’s a clean, mostly stock, very high mileage driver.
People, as a rule, are stupid. They don’t realize that the one thing that makes a candidate “electable” is VOTING FOR THEM.
Giant Meteor 2020!
I’m sorry, the Cadillac WHAT?!
You’re not wrong. But it seems to be especially true for this car more than most others.
