Co-signed. Aluminum is great, until you have to fix it. Similar with stainless steel - it’s great, except for during fabrication, and then until it needs fixing. Steel really is a pretty fantastic material.

I had an Australian Shepherd and a Border Collie in my first-gen Forester together. Even with the rear seat flat, all cargo in the front passenger seat, and the destination a mere five miles away, it was a crazy trip. Do not recommend.
