Re: the hydrazine-filled bird... I had thought we used a ground-based laser that fired very very short bursts causing the tanks to burst in orbit and destabilize it for reentry. I did not know it was an Aegis-led missile. Dang. I don't know which one is cooler.

I didn't like how they phrased "the huge scarring that presumably forces the character to wear the painkiller-dispensing mask".

I am just glad they said "biological and hormonal basis" and not "biological and hormonal bias".

Yes, the WDTV route works well I think. The reason I did not look into a PS3 transcoder application like those mentioned above is I did not want a computer to have to be on for me to play files. All my files reside on a NAS unit instead of a computer. Since it was a NAS I could not easily setup a transcoder, but

If you don't 100% have to have Amazon streaming, I say go to a Walmart/Target/BestBuy and pickup a WDTV Live for $99 (the current gen, not the old one and not the one with the hard drive inside of it called a "Hub"):

I have been wondering about something... how many people using Google (for anything) stay "logged in" and how much of a curveball does it throw for Google's data collection?

If you will be dealing with less technical household members wanting to use it also, then I can strongly suggest the WDTV Live. Less than $100 and plays anything I can throw at it (so far anyway).

Some folks I grew up with would be more willing to loan you their wives than loan you their tools. And given how I have had some of mine returned, I can't say I blame them.

I wonder if by "alien" he means something like the giant-kin Loki used as an army in the Ultimate Alliance story? Or maybe more of a traditional ET like some ticked off Shi'ar?

Before I get my soapbox fully adjusted, I know the mantra... "no one is forcing you to use it". Ok, there.

Be careful about the mentoring part. That can quickly spiral down into running off the newbies if you are already in a bad enough funk.

Favorite. Simpsons. Ending. Ever.

Snapz Pro is still my favorite. It is a one trick pony, but it does that trick pretty damn good.

Oh, those ships.... I spent so many hours of study hall trying to force my will through a pen to sketch out those beautiful mecha. I never could get any of them quite what I thought was "right", but I sure had lots of fun trying.

Something about Cavill's hair and forehead that makes it difficult for me to see "Superman". The suit is growing on me though.

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking Keifer's latest may not be so hot. Every single commercial I have seen for it so far leaves me thinking "whhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyy?".

And speaking of Keynote presentations...

Or with my previous experiences... angry snakes and spiders.

Hmmmm, he could become Deathspank's archenemy!

I choose you, Pontiac Phoenix! Roast Charazard with your flame attack!
