Junior bought that (his) Uncle Sam killed Norrie before Barbie even fell in the hole! Terrible writing to get from Point Dome to Point Xenith.
I agree with the possibility GentleGiant proposes. I also think he married Gracie to act as her monitor for the Castors.
I just wrote above, but will repeat it here (I'm hoping someone will weigh in) - I think Mark is Gracie's monitor. Not for Dyad, but for Castor/The Military. I think he inserted himself into the Prolethetians on orders. So, yeah, I agree with you that Gracie is not safe with him… though he will protect her at least…
I don't know that Mark is all that honorable. To me it seems pretty likely that Mark married Grace because he is going to be a Castor version of a monitor for her and her baby. I also assume that he was a plant among the Proletheans the way Paul was a double-agent at Dyad.
Great news! Where did you hear it?
Last week I posted here that I was imagining "an entire platoon of Pauls". I was wrong about which male character the army had clones of, but I'm still overly proud of myself for predicting that. I've never done that before. (If anyone else predicted it, which is likely, I didn't read it.) :D
"You're so cute, I want to eat you up!" is a very common phrase/thought, especially with babies. I wonder if anyone has done a psychological study as to why humans have that impulse? I suspect it is linked to the practice of kissing - why do we do/enjoy that?
I agree, Mrs. S.'s comments when Paul and Cal meet for the first time were perfect, but they also fell into the category of "fan service" (not that I mind when the show does that, and would never complain about it the way A.V. club has in this and their other current article about the show). There was no plot reason…
Interesting theory, but it would be hard to believe that they could have accomplished that back in the floppy, floppy disk days before the human genome was mapped…. Then again, they managed to add that patent sequence and make them sterile, so we have to work hard to suspend disbelief while watching.
Now I'm picturing Arnold looking extremely confused and repeating over and over, "It's bigger in the inside??!!"
Matt Smith is going to be in the new Terminator film? I didn't know that. It makes sense. Obviously, they need a Time Lord and a TARDIS to take down Skynet once and for all! ;->
Amen!
I had the same thought!! It was a really odd thing to say! If the implanted embryos were ordinary test-tube babies, would he even know they would be female? (Ok, I'll have to go google to find out if that is possible.) I've been wondering how the Prolethians even found out about the clones in the first place. Could…
There has to be more to the "Angela DeAngelis" story than what we've seen so far. It's hard to fathom that is even her real name, as it is the same name as one of the key members of the SLA, the violent, radical group that kidnapped Patty Hearst (among other things). If it is the character's real name, and not an…
I'm not going to underestimate Duncan. He did hold back what we must assume are important notes when he left them with Kira (though I do wonder where Dr. Moreau is while Kira is getting her bone marrow extracted). I think he's "crazy like a fox". He knows he is playing in the big leagues - he spent years in the belly…
Dyad must be kicking themselves for losing track of Sarah - if they had been around when Sarah gave birth, they could have grabbed Kira's cord blood which is full of stem cells. (Is it proper to call it Kira's cord blood or Sarah's? I'd say the umbilical cord belongs to both of them.)
Yeah. You don't cast Meryl Streep in "The Terminator". Tatiana Maslany is the first Meryl Streep level actor since, well, Meryl Streep.
Last Monday a friend asked if I had watched anything good over the weekend and I (completely unconsciously) replied, "Orphan is the New Black". She cracked up and I couldn't figure out what was so funny until she repeated it back to me.
This was after binging S2 of "Orange" and watching that Saturday's "Orphan".
No, there are only two *actresses* consistently in each episode. The majority of the *characters* are women. Actually there are at least four "consistently" shown in each episode, counting the actresses that play Delphine and Kira. (Plus in supporting roles are Ainsley (RIP), Detective Angela, community theatre Sarah,…
