While the newer Minis are much more reliable than the first-gen new Minis, they are bigger and heavier and arguably less fun than the first-gen. My third-gen Mini brings those giant grins with much less heartache and expense! Thank you for sharing your experience and for your kindness :)

What a bad opinion!

In any other racing series the fans & drivers absolutely would care if the practice session was cancelled, on a brand-new track, that nobody has ever driven before, with possible issues with the integrity of the track itself.

Pretty much every brand-new exotic. And conversely, I gain respect for guys I see driving 10 year or older exotics. The former have money, the latter have passion.

Anyone driving a new Mitsubishi. What path in life lead them down that journey to mediocrity?

Any car that’s all Trumped-out. You know the one. Trump bumper stickers, Trump Flags, hand-written Trump pronouncements. You just know that the driver is someone you never want to sit next to at a party.

Any lifted full size pickup.

Most SUV coupes - someone chose to pay more for a less practical, uglier version of the landcow sitting across the showroom.

Wrangler with the “angry face” grille.

It is disappointing to hear this. They seem to be making the same mistake they made with the CR-Z, completely misjudging the enthusiast attachment to the name, and delivering something completely unfulfilling.

I kind of agree and there are waaaay better Sinead O'Connor songs....

Sorry but the very best cover is the Bangles “Hazy Shade of Winter”. Not sure how you could miss that - as someone said about Devo’s Stones cover, they deconstructed it and put it back together in a new way that I would argue is much better than S&G’s original. It’s probably also the Bangles’ best song.

An interesting and informative list (I’ve always wondered where REM got “Superman” from) but I have to break ranks, here, and say that, heretically, I’ve always hated Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares...” No, I haven’t ever heard the original, but while everyone was swooning over the song and the video when it came

No love for “Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal” and “The Ataris - Boys of Summer”? As a high-schooler in 2003, those were bangers.

Really great list...a couple I didn’t know! And obviously there are others we all love that didn’t make the list...”Blinded by the Light” by Manfred Mann is better than the original Springsteen honestly...Tori Amos’ “Smells Like Teen Spirit” is such an amazing reimagining of that song...Gary Jules takes a great Tears

Bite your tongue. Buckley and Cale straight-up murdered Hallelujah. Cohen wrote a dirge. It was supposed to be dark, depressing, and mournful; a search for meaning. When he hits the word Hallelujah, he was hitting the highs of finding meaning.

Wow nothing from Nirvana Unplugged in NY. Where did you Sleep Last Night or Man Who Sold the World seem like obviously choices.

Another great cover (that many don’t realize is a cover), “Istanbul Not Constantinople” by They Might Be Giants (cover of The 4 Lads).

The 4C is the same cost as a Corvette of similar vintage, has ZERO luggage capacity, is only available with an automatic transmission, and has sills you need to leap across to access the tiny seats. Like most Italian cars, it is pleasant to gaze upon as it sits inert somewhere.
