FWIW, Checo let Max through earlier on to attack Alonso. He could have held him back but was promised the position back if Max couldn’t make it stick (he couldn’t). Checo is a good teammate and significantly better than Max deserves.

There are times where it is beneficial to be a “good teammate” though, and this was certainly one of those times. I agree with your general gist that teammates are competitors first and foremost, but let’s not ignore the benefits to helping your teammate.

Mancini is well-known to Mopar people. They make good parts and their carbs are easier to adjust than Holleys. I’d rather see Mancinis than original carbs on this. I think.
