Interesting list...personally, I would have put “Love Reign O’er Me” much higher, as it is a nearly perfect song (and Daltrey’s vocal is just astounding, really showing his range). But these sorts of lists are always personal, so you’ve done you and that’s fine.

At one time they did believe this...heck, at many times it was suspected (“Sound barrier’s a farm you can buy in the sky” and such, affects of ultrasonic speeds on astronauts would be catastrophic, etc.). But you’d think by now we’d have learned by the fact that people who go fast don’t die....but when so many people

Other than the fact that it creates reflections in the windows and severely (no exaggeration, severely) reduces visibility...not to mention ruining night vision by causing pupils to contract...no. It’s not illegal in most states, but it is really dumb to do.

I’m usually not a big fan of American cars, but I was on assignment for almost a year in 1999 and had a rental for 9 of those months that was a really impressive car. It was an Oldsmobile Alero.

I think TWR (and JaguarSport) already did that, with the XJR-15...even prettier and a much better drive (according to contemporary reports).

I think a lot of folks think of these as 80s cars...and, really, they are technically a 70s car. The car mags loved them, it was just buyers that didn’t, well, buy them.

This was not underrated...CAR and other euro buff books loved these things, and sang their praises often, and loudly. But, yeah, they were very, very cool.

When I took the MSF they were saying to push the handlebar and it made NO sense to me. Then once we got on the bikes I realized it wasn’t push FORWARD, it was push DOWN...something they maybe possibly perhaps should have clarified as the looked at a sea of confused faces...

Another thing to bear in mind is that the Miata Cup car is engineered for road courses...more importantly, it is GEARED for road courses. So, with a taller rear end, and modifying the gears in the sequential 6-speed so they have broader spacing (no need for ‘tight gearing’ when not on a road course...the lower gears

I think you sell Peter Collins a little short here...he actually volunteered his car to Fangio, he wasn’t ordered to do it. Collins was a nice guy, but the reason he stated at the time was a desire to avoid the pressure a championship at his age would bring...and, sadly, he was ‘only 25 years old and have plenty of

Hmmm....’won’t be competitive’....interesting. Because goodness knows that Cadillac has NO racing pedigree and has NO idea how to build a decent racing powerplant. Nope. I mean...they have had SOME success, but in piddly little races like the Rolex 24hr at Daytona, Le Mans, etc. Nothing substantial like Red Bull had

I disagree completely...driving a Beetle is complete and utter entertainment, even when it scares the hell out of you (people pay money to see horror movies), which is only sometimes. The only other car I’ve ever driven that made me giggle like a little girl was the MINI Cooper S on a curvy backroad.

Jumping off a ski-lift is not a good idea...what looks like nice powder might be hiding something not so nice. Fell off a lift once because some kids were rocking it side to side and it got amplified the further away it got. I managed to land in fairly deep powder (still wasn’t fun), guy behind me wound up hitting the

I have one particular one in mind, but I honestly cannot remember what it is called...

Wait a second....a few years back they started changing all the ‘swoopy’ front ends on cars because they claimed that was worse for pedestrian safety, leading to all these higher and blunter noses. Now they are saying the higher noses are worse for pedestrian safety? WHICH IS IT YOU PHILISTINES???

The earlier Imperator had the same configuration. A little boxier looking, though, but same thing.

The entire Ford SUV line. Their names are all the opposite of what their size should be based on what you’d need to carry on that sort of trip they name...

Laptop/Notebook computer with LCD screen...perhaps included in the ‘mobile devices’ item, but wasn’t specifically mentioned. Temps below 20 will ruin the display...I know this one as a fact.

Exactly...let them through...then you have a rabbit to follow and get the ticket!

Came here to post this...I will say, though, that I take note of what they are driving and, if I can, their tires. I never tailgate a car with better brakes or tires. Everyone else is fair game if they are blocking traffic (and, yes, I know two wrongs don’t make a right, but they should get the hell out of the left
