Came to post Cossie DFV, but was beaten to it...then thought of the engine from the 917, and someone had that already...then thought of....point is, there are a bunch that can be argued here (though DFV wins through ubiquity, longevity, reliability, etc.). I just want to point out that this (admittedly) utter piece of cr@p is front engine, rear wheel drive, weighs right around 2000lbs, you can actually make them handle, and that a V8 DOES fit in the engine bay. You do the math from those bits of info.

That Mclaren F1 car is, perhaps, not the best barometer of what a modern F1 car can do...in that video it was twitchy as all hell. I have to imagine a 2021 F1 could do it faster, and be far less twitchy, though it certainly wouldn’t sound as good!

All sites seem to be migrating to this...it’s why I don’t bother with Autoweek anymore, which I had been subscribed to (when it was a magazine) for 40 years. Videos take too damned long...I can read much faster. There are other reasons, too, but that’s the biggest one.

Hmmm...I was expecting ‘Maybe I’m Amazed’ to be #1, if for no other reason that the incredible vocal performance. It always bugs the hell out of me when radio stations play the lesser live version, which is still great, but nowhere near as good as the album version. Gives me chills every time.

The theme from “Raiders of the Lost Ark” is a very hummable tune that springs to mind...not sure if the type or tone of the music affects efficacy. Trying to avoid puking until you are in a suitable location also feels like a bit of an adventure, so it’s even more apropos.

How many ‘promising’ racing movies have we heard about over the years? If I had a dollar for every time I’d read an article in a buff book about how ‘this one is gonna be different’ and ‘they got the right people involved’...I’d be able to see the result of all this for free, at least.

Pennsylvania doesn’t have front license plates because nobody ever sees them....it’s impossible to get around slow-moving, left-lane cruising PA drivers to see the front of the car.

Interesting...personally, I always have a thin black frame on my cars, and if the dealer put their frame on in spite of me asking them not to, removing it is the very first thing I do when I get the car home.

Agreed. Fixed most of the egregious issues of the Samurai, without losing all of the character. Plus, the Swift GT’s 100hp motor fits in it, as do a lot of other interesting swaps.

Hmmm...I don’t know....you have a pick of the ‘extended cab’, which would allow people over 5'8" to actually fit in it. The regular cab was torture for anyone over that height. But it was excellent basic transportation with cargo space...plus, it was handsome for a pickup.
