All through the list I kept waiting for Patrese...but, no, not there. Dude had 281 frickin points! He’s got to be in the argument for ‘best’ F1 driver with ‘car’ in his name (one that would be lost to Alberto Ascari, of course, but still...he’d be in that discussion).

Ok, that McMurty car is...wow. But, is it just me, or is there a distinct lack of drama in these laps from electric racers? Especially this one, as it is a bit silly looking...but the speeds are ludicrous, but thoroughly without drama and boring looking. Still, it will be neat to see it do a lap of the Nürburgring, if

That Mclaren F1 car is, perhaps, not the best barometer of what a modern F1 car can do...in that video it was twitchy as all hell. I have to imagine a 2021 F1 could do it faster, and be far less twitchy, though it certainly wouldn’t sound as good!

All sites seem to be migrating to this...it’s why I don’t bother with Autoweek anymore, which I had been subscribed to (when it was a magazine) for 40 years. Videos take too damned long...I can read much faster. There are other reasons, too, but that’s the biggest one.

Hmmm...I was expecting ‘Maybe I’m Amazed’ to be #1, if for no other reason that the incredible vocal performance. It always bugs the hell out of me when radio stations play the lesser live version, which is still great, but nowhere near as good as the album version. Gives me chills every time.

The theme from “Raiders of the Lost Ark” is a very hummable tune that springs to mind...not sure if the type or tone of the music affects efficacy. Trying to avoid puking until you are in a suitable location also feels like a bit of an adventure, so it’s even more apropos.

One word...Thundercougarfalconbird.

Was surprised nobody posted the Verrazano Narrows....it’s huge, and so high above the bay, that you really feel like you are driving into the sky. It is also quite intimidating if you aren’t used to it. But the bow is so extreme that you really are pointed up as you go across, then when you crest the top you are going

How many ‘promising’ racing movies have we heard about over the years? If I had a dollar for every time I’d read an article in a buff book about how ‘this one is gonna be different’ and ‘they got the right people involved’...I’d be able to see the result of all this for free, at least.

‘Handsome styling’? I guess some might like it, but the front really reminds me of a grouper...I keep waiting for the ‘mouth’ to start opening and closing like the fish.

Yet another display of the average Amurican driver’s lack of understanding of basic driving physics, such as weight transfer.

Being in the middle of the buying process myself, I’ve seen almost all of these and many others besides, but I do have to disagree with “Diamond in the rough” as having anything to do with the neighborhood...it is almost always about the condition of the house itself. Basically, it’s a house that is in dire need of

Pennsylvania doesn’t have front license plates because nobody ever sees them....it’s impossible to get around slow-moving, left-lane cruising PA drivers to see the front of the car.

Interesting...personally, I always have a thin black frame on my cars, and if the dealer put their frame on in spite of me asking them not to, removing it is the very first thing I do when I get the car home.

Yet again, no mention of the real culprit in American traffic safety...the abysmal driver education in every single state. No, let’s punish the rest of us who CAN handle a vehicle at speed and DON’T drink and drive. Laughable, but oh so very American...let’s spend all sorts of money on whatever will make it LOOK like

And, as usual, none of the proposed solutions is ‘improve driver education’. Stupid.

Agreed. Fixed most of the egregious issues of the Samurai, without losing all of the character. Plus, the Swift GT’s 100hp motor fits in it, as do a lot of other interesting swaps.

Hmmm...I don’t know....you have a pick of the ‘extended cab’, which would allow people over 5'8" to actually fit in it. The regular cab was torture for anyone over that height. But it was excellent basic transportation with cargo space...plus, it was handsome for a pickup.

Ah, not a bad choice...I went with the Suzuki Swift GT. Better suspension, and a jewel of a 100hp engine in the same econo-car 1800lb package.

Most old school pickups sucked to drive. I mean, today the whole ‘agricultural’ feel is so alien that it’s cool. For a while. But, in general, they were pretty awful. Simple as all hell...the most mechanically disinclined moron could work on them...so that is a plus, especially for someone getting started in the car
