Based on recent pricing on BaT and CaB, $25k will get you a minty low-mileage‘94 - ‘96, with LT1 or LT4 power and the better nose/tail design, blah-er interior, and that amazing paint that stayed shiny all the time (as opposed to ‘80s C4s that had ‘80s GM paint...oxidized when the sun wasn’t even out).

Tom was on the right track, but it derailed on his trip back through time and didn’t get to the ‘80s. In a choice between a Subaru and a ‘wedge’, why not have BOTH?

Best part here is that these accept a LOT of the Fox chassis upgrades for Mustangs, and a built 302 will drop right in, too. Could make a heck of a sleeper...I’ve seen a couple of them and they are pretty neat. Nothing like having what looks like a terrible car just wipe the floor with many ‘GT’ cars...of course, you

I had a friend, who, like me, has been online since college in the 80s (usenet back then, of course), make a pronouncement sometime in the early 2000s: “After careful consideration and years of research, I have determined that everyone who posts online is an asshole. Everyone. Including me.”

There a several sports and GT cars that had the hand-brake on the left of the driver’s seat. The C4 Corvette, the Jaguar XJ-S, the Pontiac Fiero, Sunbeam Alpine/Tiger, Porsche 928, Porsche 914...probably more, that’s all I remember off the top of my head. Many of them are of the ‘stay up when engaged’ variety, which

My significant other recently had a moron unceremoniously plow into her beloved Tiggy, so was shopping for a new ride. We drove everything in the class. Everything. She really liked the CX-5 turbo, and it was the front runner in the process, until she drove the Volvo XC40. The Mazda was still under consideration until

Hmmm...where’s the T-Roc cabrio? As it’s a two-door, and I think it has a shorter wheelbase than the regular T-Roc, should it be considered a separate model?

On the primetime showing, right after the end...when the commentators were sitting outside discussing things...they showed her vault in slow-motion. The terror on her face...I felt so bad for her. The fact that immediately upon landing she put up an expressionlessmask’ was just amazing to me. Sadly, I think it is

It’s not just the poor folks...one of the things I love about BringATrailer and CarsAndBids is that they list the brands of the tires. It is sickening how many of these wonderful cars have crappy no-name tires. Why? To save a few bucks before the sale, period. And if they actually bought those to drive a supposedly

Two words: beef jerky.

Whenever I see Australian Touring Cars on TV or in pictures, I feel a primal urge to grunt incoherently and eat meat. They are everything that open-wheel cars and NASCAR jellybeans aren’t.

The worst part is that if you subscribe, you STILL get the f-ing ads. Grrr.

Nah...not an Atlas. Now, if they put this drivetrain in the Taos...or the short-wheelbase Tiguan...then, yeah, I would be interested. Well, I’d like the stick, too, of course.

There are a lot of good responses here, and I agree with many of them. My knee-jerk reaction was to say ‘tires’, followed very closely by ‘tools’. NEVER cheap out on tires, even if you are just selling the car...you don’t have to buy the ‘best’, but get ‘good’. It’s a safety thing.

“Best Chevy Lumina on the planet” Wow, that is setting the bar really low. It hasn’t even got the relatively decent 4-cam 3.4 liter (came out a few years later, I think...Z34, maybe?). And $4800 is insane for this...while technically a ‘classic’ car, it is NOT a ‘classic car’, and even if it was, the mileage is too

Did anyone else look at the pic of the Guardians and immediately think “Argonath”?

Years ago, my girlfriend at the time was at college, and her dormmates would trap each other in their rooms using a few pennies in the gap under the door. The doors opened into the dorm room, but the pennies under the outside of the door somehow provided enough of a wedge that the door couldn’t be pulled inward. I

Wow...I guess the few ‘other’ types of Connecticut drivers venture south into NJ, because I frequently get stuck behind them going 55-60mph (it’s a 65 zone) in the left lane of Rt 287 up close to the New York border. And they will NOT move over. Ever.

1985 Pontiac Grand Am LE V6...3.0 liters of gutlessness. The LN7 was basically a sleeved (well, smaller bored) version of the legendary Buick 3.8l V6, but with only 125hp and 150lb-ft of torque. It was...not great. When my dad killed the motor on the way back from visiting me at college, he had them replace it...I was

I’ve never understood them on a small sports car, but on a larger luxury sport coupe, like 3/4 Series BMW, Audi A3/4/5, VW Eos, Lexus, Infiniti G/Q, etc. then they do make sense.
