Winn was great, but increasingly superfluous. I’ve actually really grown to enjoy the different kind of energy Brainy brings to the show.

They’re in a no-win situation. If the hair looks realistic, people are going to complain that she doesn’t like she does in the comics. Keep her comic book look, and the hair isn’t going to look realistic. Even a good wig is probably going to look bad if they dye it the appropriate colour.

I think Reneé Montoya can handle herself.

Really? I think the hair looks pretty damn good considering what CW usually puts out for wigs and fake facial hair. Also, the hair is iconic, no hair, no Batwoman, just a mask wouldn’t work, it wouldn’t be Batwoman.

Everything with Brainy in this episode was pure gold, from his halted introduction of “I’m a 12th level-” to his “This is problematic” as he steepled his fingers.

I loved the shit out of the “intolerant left” line. It struck me as a combination of self-deprecation and reappropriating that right-wing insult in the best way, like someone going around proudly punching nazis and proclaiming themselves to be the intolerant left.  Beautiful.

Not that there can’t be transgendered aliens, but I also feel like that would’ve been more effective if she was human. Especially as the basis of her standing-up-to-hate that we saw earlier this season.

Prob not the best judgment from Kara to just float over the now-martyr she just captured while a bunch of people are cheering for his anti-alien beliefs. Like, she was just hovering what seemed like 30 feet above everyone. Not symbolic at all. read the goddam room, Kara.

Supes never worked with the government though so doesn’t really have that problem. Yeah this show’s Human supporting cast has been increasingly dwindling so it would have been nice to have Nia be a meta (Which apparently don’t exist anymore based on this seasons writing).
