If nothing else there should be a weight tax. That translates directly into road maintenance costs independently of whether the vehicle emits smoke from the rear or not.

Europe has a 3500kg (around 7700lbs) limit after which you need a commercial license. Most of the recently announced EV trucks are skirting or outright getting past that limit.
Don’t get me wrong I loved RE4 very much, but I think any version after the Wii one was unnecessary, and I got it played out.
That has to be getting my first speeding ticket ever the day of my 47th birthday.
My benevolent corporate overlords just don’t love me that much 🤷🏽♂️
I’ve played RE4 enough times that I’ll only be getting it if they’ve changed it a _lot_ from the original.
I think the 3 and Y are still a good proposition for the price, at least if you don’t mind the quirks and ignore Tesla’s attempts at letting your car murder you.
Having seen a few of both in person, the Lucid definitely eats the Tesla S’s lunch as a luxury sedan.
What, pray tell, are your solutions to our problems? “We’ve tried nothing and we’re out of ideas” is unlikely to improve things.

They do because we built up the country such that no matter how poor you are you still need a car.
The problem with one piece car frames is that you’re one piece from a totalled car. And there’s not going to be any parts reuse for that one between different models.
They still have some advantage in technology (not the autopilot crap but battery and motor stuff), having been at it longer than anyone else.
Most anything I care about is in the rear view mirror (namely manual cars that are engaging and fun to drive) so I expect that as far as I can keep affording some of that I’ll be looking at used cars until I become too unsafe to drive.
Whoever is at the current bottleneck is going to gouge as much as they can as long as they can. And there’s plenty of those in the supply chain, so if it’s not one it’s another.
There’s Orcs (technically “Orks”), there’s chaos dudes. There’s interestingly enough no ork chaos dudes. There’s a dozen other factions. And they are all fighting each other all the time 🤷🏽♂️
Only if the airline loses the luggage.
You’re going to be scrapping the bottom when there’s gravel on the road with this thing 🤣
Well I guess now I’ll have to try it out. Damn you video game reviewers!
