You should have included Penguin’s “heart attack” story. There was a certain kharmic charm to it.

Two things. Back around 2002 I tried to buy a ‘98 200SX SE-R at a newer but not sleezy appearing used car dealership. We easily came to a an agreed upon price with the stipulation that some minor paint work be performed on a single trim piece. A credit check was run in-house aaaaaand rejected. I knew there was a…
Long as I keep smacking my head getting in and out of four door cars I’m going to keep demanding a damn two/three door.
In honor of the article picture, people assuming I never use turn signals and park like an asshat in my BMW.
Speaking of the Kenwoods, back in the day dad bought a Suzuki Swift GTi the first year in the U.S. market. Awesome little car, nimble and a pretty good power to weight ratio for the time. The only sad part was that it was saddled with an automatic because mom is simply unable to drive a stick.
I don’t know if it will show up on the “best” list or not but this makes my best list Penguin.
Looks like your route goes through Manhattan Ks. I don’t have a garage to work in anymore but I have a little extra space in front of the house if its needed. Barring that, I know an excellent coffee shop here in town if you need re-energizing.
I really enjoy the tech and the concept but having seen it in person, it’s pretty dang ugly.
I have to admit. I scrolled through and saw the Jeep in “shambles” as you so eloquently put it and thought to myself “Holy Mother of God...” I’d been waiting on another update on the beast. I think your stuff is probably the most interesting on Jalopnik right now.
In this case; literally.
Ahahahahaha there’s the FU I knew Deadspin would post (as suggested in the previous Super Bowl post). I’m not a Patriots fan but I’m amused at the flailing anger and political spite.
Yeah I’m just waiting on that obligatory Deadspin FU to the Patriots post game, just because.
Bicycles+College Campus+ Autonomous vehicles= Splat
The two that come right to mind for me:
I just follow my father’s words of wisdom on the matter.
Puff puff?
Gaaaah Six forwards and a V12. That is the best kind of crack there is I think. That is a good looking car and I’m trying to figure out how I missed that NP/CP posting. I hope you will provide us with articles concerning work and life with such a car. I for one find your ideas interesting and wish to subscribe to…
Yeah I didn’t use studs and nuts. Probably should have but I hope to never have to change the starter on this car ever again. I did take the advice given by the Bimmer forums. Take the old starter and throw it far far faaaar away like a shot-put.
Oh fubar, sorry. I meant the m70. Fortunately I have yet to do any major wrenching on an m70. A customer several years back brought in an ‘90 750iL with a battery dead from poor charging due to short in a sensor. I got it up and running again, replaced the bad sensor (I forgot which it was, was pretty minor) and…
Oh screw em both at the same time....
