The only good thing I heard in all this is that Detroit might finally get some help. But will it actually happen?

Can we finally stop pretending that Jonathan Chait is a progressive ally?

I’m going to turn my back on one of the few who is actually saying the things that need to be said because some people think he stayed too long in the primary? I think not.

Sanders and the post election response to him is an indicator of the larger problem in the party.

Exactly. Dems should be having that legitimate discussion every chance they get. It’s not what cost them the election. If anything, what cost them the election was not having enough of that discussion.

I was with you all the way until you floated Sanders as the solution. He’s part of the problem.

You’re right that we shouldn’t pander to racists, but not because it would be a lie. We shouldn’t pander to racists because they’re racists.

Exactly. We need radically new leadership. Keith Ellison would be a good start. Kamala Harris / Cory Booker 2020 would be a good end.

It’s Sanders who’s trying to burn down the party. He knew he had no shot of winning and ran anyway. In doing so, he split the party and left rancor in his wake. Now he continues to tell the party that only he knows best.

Every single analysis of the election that I’ve seen has said that voter suppression had nothing to do with it.

Sanders needs to sit down and do more listening than talking. He may have gotten the shaft from the DNC but he deserved it.

May I ask what’s going on in your profile photo? (Not that what happens between consenting adults is any of my business . . .)

I never said it was biased. It’s unnecessary, unhelpful and misplaced.

I answered your point that Dems weren’t to blame for the situation of POC because they’ve been obstructed by Repubs. Dems can’t be excused if they’ve been in control of government most of the time.

What is this path of Kanye, JLO, Nicki and the Queen?

Not so. I’m making the probably correct assumption that Carson will be just as horrible as any white HUD secretary. So the post might as well go to a black person.

Yeah, like her. It’s OK to be the HR person for FoxNews but not the anchor? You can aid and abet a racist organization for $100K/year but not $1M/year?

Ms. Holliday shouldn’t shill for a demagogue

That’s the charitable way to view him. And maybe it’s correct. But my view is that his change is more slippery political expediency than come-to-Jesus. There’s a smarminess about him that I just can’t get around.

What if you’re an anchor at FoxNews?
