@dagwud: Online billpay at your bank will usually mail a check for you.
Needs some duct tape
@RulonJonesy: If you have a cable to connect your computer's screen to your laptop you'll need to get the laptop to output through the cable by going to the Windows control panel display setting or finding the function key on the keyboard (usually pressing fn and one with little square symbol representing the screen)
@treschic_idg(if)af: While becoming a ninja is great advice, only few are able to survive the training.
@k2kyo: If an object is not private on your person, it is private nowhere. You really get some satisfaction for showing the guards that you have nothing to hide, while shoplifters just breeze past (while also keeping their prescriptions, condoms, etc. to themselves)?
@tustultuses: If you monitor deal sites for good sales $500 should be plenty if a netbook would have been powerful enough for you. You'll probably only get a mediocre deal shopping refurbs
@GetOutOfBox: I had to disable it too since it usually fights against me and enters the terms it wants, but strangely most people like it.
When not I'm just looking for popular website's address or a Wikipedia article, searching Google can become a nightmare. Not Google's fault that the internet is filled with trash, but it shouldn't be that hard for Google to identify offenders and move them 1000 places down in search results.
Nice, another frequent annoyance resolved.
@wasting_company_time: You are presumed innocent to begin with. But all information that is given to the police can and will be used against you.
@tasteskindasalty: Once they have the authority to search your car a locked box is not going to stop them any more than locking your car doors. If they want to check your phone after a DUI they will download everything through the data port or SIM and not even see a password prompt.
@Tsylord: Pick Out a Few Go-To Recipe Templates and Practice Them
@Spaceboy: Having war vets as air marshals is not the most comforting thought...
@ddthesm: Someone is paying. My internet bill increases every year (sometimes twice). And bandwidth hasn't improved in 7 years, though technological improvements have no doubt reduced costs/byte substantially.
@mschul: The "promise of insurance" is that the average person will pay 110% of all lifetime costs. And making it easier to spend money at the vet is almost always a bad thing, as is letting children make decisions.
@misterfuzz: That's liability insurance, not health insurance for dogs. Not mandatory in the USA, but usually included in house insurance.
@houstonwkv: In this competitive job market we would advise candidates to remove the scare quotes. Many also hesitate when requested to shoot a blindfolded man bound to a chair during interviews, so we advise you to practice with your friends and family.
@thehouserules: I imagine the card costs more to make than those $5 greeting cards that people are so fond of sending
@AlexJAnder: Just holding cash is a risk because the government "works" hard to make sure there is always significant inflation. What seems like a lot of money now will be pocket change in a 20 or 30 years.
