@psychiccheese: Salmonella is usually not too common—something like 1 in 20000 eggs, though with billions of eggs being sold it is a constant public health threat. Apparently in this outbreak most of the eggs were infected, which resulted in a lot more people getting sick.
@showbiz2: Eggs can actually be pasteurized in the shell. But as usual industry is only interested in profit, not quality or safety.
@lazymoomin: The suggestion is mostly for the benefit of their IT help desk.
I want this, but wearable. Probably too heavy to carry around a cooler full of water and a car battery, though.
@BBQ Cornnuts: Good to know I have fans.
@Stargate199: That's pretty insane. Are their reserve funds held in Silly Bandz?
@kl0an: In Europe the coin pops out again when you chain it to the others. A better solution than hiring somebody full-time to organize carts, at least if the groceries are cheaper.
@Ashwin Mudigonda: Get up 30 minutes earlier to look at listings for top-floor apartments.
@Daniel Bentley: "Good reason" is meaningless: you live in a country where knives, a tool hominids have been using for a couple of million years are illegal. Kneel to Queen and smile for the surveillance cameras.
@rawli: That knife looks about as big as a swiss army knife (OMGWMD military-grade!) .
@GreasyPig: camelcamelcamel or a similar site will send you an email at the price-point you specify. Hard drive deals at Amazon are rather infrequent, though...
Hall-mates can be a problem too. Freshman year my neighbor blasted obscene rap music every second he was awake. You could gouge out your ears and still feel the constant bass. Then my neighbor to the other side set up a full drum-set. To this day I regret not going on a shooting rampage.
Bring your own spork and stop living in the past.
I usually get 90% of the advertised speed, which I guess is normal. I really need more upload bandwidth, but TWC has made no upgrade in 6 years even though they've started raising rates 5-10% every 6 months. I guess I should be grateful that there is no cap.
@dicknervous: Want, but will have to move
@LegatoBlue: 90% of people don't want overdraft. If banks will stop one for $10 million, they can stop one for $.10. If a bank doesn't keep tabs on customers' accounts what does it do?
@the_berg: There isn't much excuse for electronic transfers to ever cause an overdraft. Responsibility, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah, but the bank is still trying to trap its customers.
The living situation at my college was less than ideal, but at least we didn't have live-in security guards known euphemistically as "advisors," like those friendly CIA and special ops guys whose real job is to twist arms and break heads.
