Ideally, yes if you can communicate and engage in physical intimacy that isn’t necessarily sexual, that might be helpful ... but he doesn’t seem from what you’ve posted, to me to be very “open minded” ... I know some of what/how it impacted my parents (& I was also in the NICU for four months after being born three months…

I’m so, so sorry that happened to you. I have a lot of similar problems, but due to literal brain damage at birth. The damage itself is seemingly minor, the resulting complications as I’ve aged are not ... The idea of having to suffer some similar things due to negligence and thoughtlessness, is terrible.

Thank you! I do too ... My honest advice would be enroll your daughter in a martial art. It’s great for self confidence, learning responsibility and respect, and it’s good exercise. No age is too young.

Guys like I described are why I don’t actually try and date. I’m too scared, I know it’s stupid and #notallmen and everything, but I won’t take the chance. It’s lonely, honestly.
