Agreed. I’d love to actually see a loose trilogy with Darth Maul as the central figure. ‘Solo’ is the first installment. A ‘Lando’ movie could be the second, which would really flesh out Darth Maul as quite the phantom menace, ahem, behind the scenes. Of course, the adventure would still be primarily Lando’s, but

Yes, it really just highlights the truth about Libertarianism/Objectivists: they’re against the government helping OTHER people. They’re totally fine accepting, and in fact feel entitled to receive, assistance for themselves.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...

I agree with you but I also think that, besides age the type of doctor that they are could even be a bigger factor. Primary care and what might be considered “eveyday” doctors are probably more in favor of Medicare for all than the specialists that are more in it for the money.

Last 3 Saints games:

Let’s be honest, they’ve been perfecting the response for years: “THOSE people are allowed to say it in their rap songs and talking about each other, but the Leader of the Free World can’t use it? You’re the real racist because you hate white people so much that you want to police their freedom of speech.”

1 million percent agreed. GOT surely stumbled some in the last two seasons, but it is still one of the crowning masterpieces in the history of television. Too many are missing the forest for a tree or two.

I disagree that the ending is dumb. What it is, is *messy*. Like life.

“Quite literally ANY of us could’ve come up with a more satisfying conclusion than this.”

I....actually liked the ending. I’m sort of shocked.

And with that, GOT comes to an end.

To be fair, the books make it quite clear that you have to balance ruthlessness with some sense of self-preservation.

I understand this line of thinking, and I think it’s worth discussing. As mentioned in my article, Daenerys knew the people of King’s Landing and Westeros would never accept her—even if she spared them. She saw what had happened in the North after the White Walkers. She was an illegitimate foreign conqueror. Much like

Agree with all of this. Posted this elsewhere (pardon the length):

This is all very apt, and well and good, but it still felt rushed, as has everything from Seasons 7-8. If they had been able to play out the back half of her arc with the pacing and subtlety that they applied to the front half, I suspect less people would be complaining.

Them: All I know is, if you’re gonna tell me that a child is going to travel the world for eight years training and learning to become a master fighter, I’ll tell you’re being ridiculous.

If I were pressed to come up with only one word to explain why this all worked, it would be: Patience.

I didn’t know how badly I NEEDED to see that final half hour until I was watching it. Seeing Giant Man punch a space whale!?! That was incredible.

How she found them exactly isn’t answered, unless you assume the “Where’s Fury?” scene at the end of Captain Marvel has already happened before the start of Endgame.

I honestly enjoy that Arya is the one who saves the world. It feels like an arbitrary choice
