The original material are some of the worst books I have ever read. The production did nothing to improve upon them. Garbage in, garbage out.

The two weakest characters, Ward and Skye, have really come into their own as the actors and writers are figuring them out. They were great this week.

The episode's title was "The Long Night".

When you watch the show in syndication, two back to back episodes every night, as we do, you really get the impression that they are totally dysfunctional. The worst of the families. It stops being funny and just becomes irritating.

The relationship between the two brothers has become one of my favorite things about this show. The two actors have excellent chemistry.
.

I watched the original broadcast TWICE each week and own the DVD. Probably my favorite representation of combat. All that being said, I felt let down by the treatment of Sobel, it seemed a little too forced. This is my only complaint.

Title photo: what episode was this? Are they supposed to be partisans? I recognize Eli Wallach and Jason Robards (John Colicos in the middle?)

I had such a crush on Paula Prentiss back them. Damn she was gorgeous. She and Benjamin are still married.

Enlisted? Seriously? I was interested in it due to the cast but I could barely get through the first episode, and the next one I watched (because I wanted to give it a second chance) was awful. Sorry, IMO this show deserves a quiet cancellation.

It's a cumulative thing…you watch a bunch of episodes back-to-back-to-back and their personalities start getting really annoying. It happens to me on a lot of shows, and probably to be expected. They ARE caricatures after all! =)

We've been watching the syndicated repeats, and watching Manny twice a night, three nights a week gets tedious. Then again, you start to see that these tend to be really unpleasant people, funny as they may be. And the Cam-Mitchell relationship looks like a total horror show!

He seemed to get over it quickly enough.

Ahyup. Black panties. I knew she wore black panties.

Agreed. I was kind of hoping that there would be some sort of clue that maybe there was a LOT more to that case and Maldonado was somehow involved.

I also like that he cared enough about his partner that he didnt totally ignore him and go after Bernice. Which is what I would have done.

To this day, my brother and I agree that "The Night Stalker" original movie of the week was the scariest movie/TV show we ever saw as kids (though "The Uninvited" comes close). Not until "Salem's Lot" came along was it surpassed in our personal estimation.

For a bit there, I thought Skye's possible powers might come out when she was shot. Regeneration or some kind of Akita thing where all that is left of the villa is a crater with her at the bottom…

The "Italian" countryside during the train scenes is between Filmore and Santa Paula, California. There is a historical railroad that typically offers scenic tours, dinner trains, etc. that runs between the two towns (about 10 miles). Nice to see it being used in recognizable programs! It also appeared in the first

They are hilarious together and I look forward to seeing more of their relationship. I have to admit that I think Jessica Chaffin is gorgeous so I just want to see more of her…

Gina Carano: the new Lucy Lawless (and I mean that as a VERY good thing)
