That Spider-Verse hard cover looks like a fantastic deal! Imma def pick that one up.

Yes, yes and yes. I could never, ever get into this show because of the bad VFX. Which is sad.

I've been doing this for years with display units. Not purposely breaking them, but testing laptops, tablets, and phones to see how much they flex and if they make any noises, poking LCDs, mashing keys, the whole lot.

"in August the government stated that Hong Kong would get a vote but from a list of pre-approved candidates."

They were always super budget conscious. They were never given remotely the money Star Trek was, so everything had to be done on the cheap. And it was a really great show. The CGI was never "bad", but it never had the budget to rise to Star Trek's level of "good".

There's a problem with the phrasing of this challenge: it doesn't ask respondents to differentiate between "you saw the VFX when they were first released" and "you saw them years later, when the state of the art had advanced." A more useful question might be, "which VFX have aged well?"

To each his own I guess. The cheap effects are part of why I like it. They remind me of classic British scifi like the original Dr. Who and Blake's 7.

No word yet, however, on when we will next see Ahsoka Tano.

Actually, they're more uninstallable, since you can't hide them like you can on android (either through "disabling" them or removing them from your launcher experience) and you can set application defaults so you never see links opened in a pre installed app if you don't want them to. Personally I advocate rooting

Actually, that's partly the fault of the DVD release. Between the mishmash of 24fps film material and 30fps CG material and converting from 4:3 to 16:9, it made for some poor results. B5 will never merit a super-duper STNG-style Blu-ray restoration.

It's definitely an applicable comment. He's stating that this is no better or worse than what other companies do, and actually is much better in it's implementation. I don't think that's fanboism

I see what your original point is and I can only say that you're trying to shoehorn everything into a black and white world. Articles about Android are going to draw comparisons to iOS and vice versa.

Man I hate to link BGR but here goes:

"but at least on Android you can disable them and set a different app as the default so you're not bothered by them. "

You can delete any app you want with the windows phones. No bloatware unless you want it.

Is it just me, or does the Destiny symbol look like the top-down view of a crucifixion?

I feel it's probable that there were cosmonauts who went to space (and presumably died) before Gagarin, but the recordings of these 2 brothers are pretty apparent fakes.

That's right, nuclear power is evil. It only caused the 3rd largest reduction of carbon emissions.

I AM so planet!

The Convergent Evolution is the one I've always favored.
