AOC is a member. Bernie is not, so thanks for reminding me of that! Has he ever actually said he disagrees with that statement? In the debates, he said he doesn’t think government should own the means of production, which is different. He also would not call himself a capitalist.

The programs Bernie and AOC push are social democratic policies, but the end goal of the DSA is not social democracy. If this isn’t what they believe, then they shouldn’t claim to be part of the group.

Bernie is a democratic socialist. He’s not a social democrat, which is what we see in Europe. The DSA says on their website:
