I work in the IT field. Yes they are distracting, but I have been able to mostly tuned them out when I am working. I remind myself to check my phone when I am not at my desk when I get free. I need constant contact, but when working with another user they can wait. I go back to them when I am free. If I set it to wait

Armor your car. Put them in the doors and drive in "really bad areas". Also to keep your tires from going flat quickly by being shot out, use expand-a-foam. Deflate them, then "charge" them up with the foam.

@sabat: And this will? It looks like it is using FF as a base and that is all. I am not sure how an outbound SSH connection on port 22 would look any different to any proxy regardless of what application you were making said outbound connection with. I do not have a http proxy to play with so I could not say if this

@tekym: Your saying it was reliable "despite their truly awful reliability record mine was one of the good ones", but your also saying you "nearly took apart and put back together the whole car in my 6.5 years of owning it"

@bdinger: It sounds like you really like Mopar. That's cool, I dig the late 60's early 70's models. Though I would never own one myself. Mini-Vans are a joke to me. I bought a crossover SUV, and for what I got on it, comparable to a mini-van, I saved ~15k. Toyota Highlander 2008 limited is what I bought. I got a

@Jorsher: You will love the S2000. I own an 06, and would not trade it for anything. You will find people sayingthe AP1's are more of a drivers car because they lack VSA. Big whoop. You can disable it with a push of a button. The AP2's have the best throttle by wire I have ever felt in a Honda or Toyota. Very

@keyslapper: There used to be a bug in calling the ScreenSaverEngine that way. It was in 10.5 and at least early 10.6. I am not sure if it is still there or not. But what it would do, is not kill the process when you logged back in, and after awhile you had "11ty-billion" ScreenSaverEngines running in the back ground.

@Hangten: +1 to that. Though I like an Ultra CDPII for my emergencies.

@demarcmj: You had map reading abilities from birth?

@distes: Same here, I also work in an IT Department. However, I do not see the same things you do. Maybe it's different per company, and a general blanket statement is a bad idea?

Surprised it was not mentioned, but there is a portable version too. It is beta, but has worked for me in the past. It's a great tool for your portable toolkit.

@michelito: I bought my current car a year ago, it replaced a 20 year old Acura Integra. There was no reason to replace the car, other than a friend really needed a car for work, and I was in the giving mood. Not that a 20 year old car is worth all that much.

@dainalynn: What added functionality are you looking for?

@darkstar516: Do not be afraid of the truth. And this is coming from someone who is generally happy with the iPhone, but has to use lockinfo, BiteSMS, Grip Notification and Notifier Pro to keep it from driving me BatShit Crazy with popups.

@jessehayes: He is probably trying to say, without actually saying, he gets the cracked apps from an alternative repo.

Ha! fluxbox, brings back memories. Though I was more partial to WindowMaker. I could get so much more done in WindowMaker than I could in 2000/XP back in the day.

@INCSlayer: "If you're a beginning Linux user, you may have heard of popular desktop environments like GNOME, KDE, XFCE, Openbox, or others" from the text above.

@mike_311: ? If you go by the article, you cannot deduct mileage.
