I've not seen this episode yet, but the animation on those first two was really fucking stiff. Particularly noticeable during that opening, when Starlord rappels around on that rope: his hair didn't move, his posture didn't change — he remained completely stationary. He looked like a paper cut-out! Oy, vey.

I think canon is a problematic thing for that reason.

Yeah, maybe?

Until it's not.

Sam Worthington

You're forgetting Rockne S O'Bannon and Paul Grellong (the latter of whom wrote a whole third of that season).

Haha. Fwiw, the latter's not so much my intention.

Jumping in to say, that LaToya Ferguson is one of the best, if not the best writer still working for this site. And not because I particularly agree with her — though I often do, that's besides the point. Her work is consistently thoughtful, funny, entertaining, well argued, and crucially, demonstrates an awareness

Everything good about Asylum is thanks to Tim Minear taking over from an overstretching Ryan Murphy. Notably, the dude's contributed less and less to AHS every year since. Which, as far as I'm concerned, makes Murphy an even worse writer.

Just went back and checked the episode, but Simmons appears to be missing the cut on her forehead from last week. It's not there when she's in sick bay, nor when Fitz rescues her during the storm.

See my other reply. : )

Your statement's kind of easy to misinterpret, unfortunately. Sorry about that.

Weekly Gotham positivity thread: a-go-go.

I like this idea. Plus it ties into the idea that it's Batman who's the one to snap — killing the Joker immediately after the events of the comic. You don't have to have a bad to do a bad thing, but it helps.

I love her "inappropriate enthusiasm" or whatever she called it last season. She really just likes to have fun. Kind of a perfect fit with the show.

The two shows have a similar sort of attitude, tbh. I think this is probably better at it, but the extreme CHESS!!! themed gags on The Cape wouldn't be out of place here.

Why are you apologising? It's meant to be stilted and over-rehearsed. The entire thing was fucking hilarious.

You might want to check your wording in that last sentence, there. I'm thinking that should probably read "It's no different…"

Gross. Grow up.

For me, the show just gets more and more terrible across the board. First Alfred seems like he's trying to pick up Lucius last week and now a blatant play at Lee? Dude… Just… not right.
