God yeah. That episode should probably win an award for being the most depressing episode of television, 2014 category. Hell, I think the episode is reprehensibly depressing, in some ways. I made the mistake of watching this episode before going to work — I barely lasted fifteen minutes before I started crying.

It's sarcasm.

Dude, you can disagree with the guy, but you don't have to facetiously quote what he said back at him.

The Stone Men’s attack is preceded by the neatest trick in Tyrion’s guided tour of the Valyrian ruins: After watching Drogon fly overhead (something only Jorah is accustomed to), the camera holds on Peter Dinklage’s face. An indistinct shape stirs in the background, dropping into the water with an attention-grabbing

All these mentions of Alison's mother are going somewhere, right?

They were dating in highschool. Would they have really hired a highschooler to monitor her? Seems dubious, even if he was in the know like Cosima was (and unlike Donnie).

Raina was telling the truth, and Skye's mother and company had to take her out of commission because she was at risk of letting everyone know about what was about to go down.

She's a literal holocaust survivor. Her actions, in the face of SHIELD's choices, make all too much sense.

Harper's quite malevolent. She deliberately tries to get the entire island killed, and her appearance is presaged by smoke monster clicking noises.

Yeah, Mac's mentioned a male ex at some point too.

I think the thought just never crosses their mind, because they're convinced of the necessity of their actions. Someone _has_ to save the world, right? And surely they're the best qualified to do so!

Really? I think the show's very, very clever, and very heavily satiric at times.
