Libby was working for Widmore;

It's not proof-positive in any way that Libby or the Island or anything else is real, because Hugo could just as well have been hallucinating that he didn't have knowledge of X or Y. Good thing that logic wasn't his strong suit, though, because if that point had occurred to him, he might well have actually jumped.

I don't understand why he's still there. Is it a contractual thing, do you think? Or just a regular paying job thing?

I'll be interested to see if they bring in the other two "worlds" as the series develops — there's also a parallel Roman theme park, and another that's Medieval themed.

Being perceptive is a talent, and it's Laurel's attention to detail that helped her solve win the case in the second episode, and notice their client's motivations in the first, and several times in the flashforwards, IIRC.

Let's be fair, they've clearly established several facets of Laurel's character. She's detail oriented, slightly submissive, empathic and fairly invested in the politics of the Left.

I feel you've got a very specific idea about queer encoded characters, when there are other, broader ways of going about this. He's closer to the kind of queer coding you'd find in The Importance Of Being Earnest as opposed to the kind popular in 80's American television.

I'd say it's more the opposite of explicit, and that the review uses it correctly.

What dya think Cybermats are made from?

Yeah, I always thought the show had a great deal of sympathy and empathy for her — it wasn't afraid to show her in a negative light, but I think that underplays her consistently positive qualities. She genuinely loves her husband, tries her best to put up with her dreadful daughter in law, and is way more politically

Her Web Therapy shorts (and the show composed of them) are made by the same writing and production crew, so you could try those.

He was going to somehow use that clothing chain to stop the war on terror, or something. Seriously.

Nor is it meta

I'd say it's more a mix of The Office and Extras, given the latter's interests in showing how the entertainment industry can chew up creativity, dignity and humanity — except told from the perspective of one of the Special Guest Stars Extra's so loved.

I'm so psyched for this. Love Toby Whithouse.

The leaked script for Deep Breath explicitly says she's meant to remind us of Mary Poppins, yes.

Also, most plastics are organic, so the water would have absolutely no effect on them.

She's in one or two episodes of Breaking Bad's third season, I think. She has a couple of good scenes with Hank and Jessie, I think.

I've always loved Jolene Purdy, ever since she was in Donnie Darko. Best thing about Under The Dome.
