I actually love Billy Crystal's part in it.

In the plot at least. The imagery is still amazing as anything he's ever done, and elevates the film as a whole. But the script is borderline bad.

If they have any interest in anime, they should try airing Panty and Stocking, given that Adult Swim isn't interested. They'd need to bleep a lot, but since they can air TV-MA programming the edited-for-Japanese-TV visuals should be fine.

Also too bad for Ghibli that they couldn't work well with Mamoru Hosoda, who now is looking like the most worthy contender for the "next Miyazaki" title.

It easily beats Howl, which is Miyazaki's weakest.

@GhaleonQ:disqus There's actually a Mickey short in front of Frozen, a 2D/3D hybrid. Despite never particularly caring that much for the old Disney characters (really bland compared to Warner Bros.), I'm actually more intrigued by that short than the movie that follows it.

The Boston Globe review mentions World War II flashbacks in the movie. So that means there's a Car/Plane Hitler.

Not sure Disney would have greenlit Up or Ratatouille (or Wall-E) period. Those films were what Pixar had cooking themselves during the time they were considering joining another studio or going independent. That's why that streak was probably Pixar's riskiest since the original Toy Story (you could argue The

Yay! The real fake Cookie is back!

But it does compare black people to ducks.

But Cranston's the perfect Gordon!

I can only find an article where he says not enough people wanted a female doctor, not a POC doctor. And a female doctor would be a much more radical character change than a POC doctor. Since he said a lot of female fans in particular didn't seem interested in a female doctor (which I'd assume is talking about

Pacific Rim and Act of Killing are both triumphant, in very different ways.

Joker's much better than Bane, but Catwoman seriously bumps up DKR in my estimation.

@avclub-ca4fc44a59d0201cc7d4f760153cb00c:disqus Probably because every aspiring pornographer has made a film with that title since they first heard of Pacific Rim.

Then why didn't more people come watch giant robots fight with a decent script in Pacific Rim?

Just posting here to make sure you get the notification, but can you link me his apology? I know Autism Speaks apologized (though they have plenty of other issues to apologize for) but I didn't think Cuaron did. An apology is all I wanted from him, so if he made one, awesome.

They've confirmed everything featuring Jar Jar is filler.

@Scrawler2:disqus Wait, he apologized for it!?! That's what I wanted him to do. I knew that Autism Speaks apologized for it, but they distanced themselves from it by saying it was all Cuaron's fault, which didn't seem good. If you can give me evidence he apologized himself, I'll be happy.
