I could see a lot of the people who liked Drive liking Rango. Both were movies for movie nerds that baffled the mainstream audiences that thought they were getting something less weird.

The last batch had some very good ones, I think. Free Will Hunting and Near-Death Wish are up there with most any classic episodes of the show.

Steamboy, the 16-years-in-the-making, turned-out-gorgeous-but-pretty-underwhelming film by Katsuhiro Otomo? Or are you not counting foreign cartoons that got limited releases?

Also Tree Trunks appears at the party in Evicted, even though the episode she went to the Crystal Dimension aired before it and her return episode aired after it.

You think Matt Groening has any other shows in him? Since he obviously isn't doing much work for Simpsons (which could be ending after season 25, maybe, hopefully), he stopped Life in Hell, and now Futurama's gone. I'm sure Adult Swim would love to have him produce something for them so that they'd actually have a

No, it's fallen harder than Family Guy, it's just that it was falling from a much, much higher place than Family Guy ever was so Simpsons at its worst is far more enjoyable than Family Guy at its worst.

I'm also seeing this.

They did. Even the cinematography winner who went right before/after the FX winners had a longer speech.

The actors being cut off after a long speech nobody minds.

Muppets with Herzog, right?

George Takei volunteered to host it on Facebook.

Tumblr vegan insults towards non-vegans (i.e. "bloodmouth", "graveyard guts") are the most metal thing ever.

He also got Steve James a huge boost for Hoop Dreams, strongly defended Spike Lee when Do the Right Thing was controversial, and is probably heavily responsible for Miyazaki's introduction to Western audiences.

Catbug might be cuter, but I think BMO's more entertaining as a character.

In Life Itself he talks a lot about his breast preferences.

He's more of a niche figure, but I'm guessing in the animation world a lot of people are gonna be sad when Jerry Beck passes away.

Disney did quietly reprint Mononoke last year, so that seems unlikely. But maybe they can get Only Yesterday?

Jambi, the chocolate icing!

…everybody pays attennnnntion!
