Even if it was a faithful adaptation, it would still look pretty fucking stupid. I mean, special effects are good these days, but is it really worth the money to transform a normal kid into a giant rotting inside-out baby? Maybe if they decreased the scale it could be done with Cronenberg-style practical effects…
