I got a platinum medal (high score is 48) and instantly uninstalled it as it'll just frustrate me. It's actually not that bad, the mechanics seems pretty tight for what they are.

Cool concept, but laggy and I don't know why on earth you would assign the up arrow to jump in this situation.

Here's another discussion:

When I bought X the guy at the counter was like "Woah! You're the first guy who I've seen buy X!"

Ok.

People can't do anything without getting insulted in some way or another.

I hope that's better.

Yes, but you used it as an insult.

You just called him pretentious.

People can't do anything without getting hated on in some way or another.

lol

Wow someone should put you down.

Alright, Mr. Grumple.

Yeah, no. I don't think you're reading it correctly.

I'm not saying it's shit... just done before I guess.

Well, they're good but they're just recycled from other games. I know pretty much every game does that, so that's a pointless critique.

Sorry I wasn't comparing it to CoD, that was just me pointing out how people still enjoy it enough for the massive amount of sales, when each iteration isn't bringing many new things to the table.

And this is why we're stuck in a rut where games are being praised for doing nothing new, but doing something old well. See: Call of Duty. This is one of the sole reasons why the publishers of most AAA games don't bother allowing the developers much creative freedom; these games will sell well regardless because, like

They added nothing to the game though. Mixing existing mechanics doesn't make it unique if the mechanics are just (badly) recycled from other games.

The Last of Us is great for a story, but not for a game. The mechanics are laughably outdated, and the only "interesting" thing was the inventory mechanic. The problem lies in the primary mechanics, like the combat system, not how you embellish these primary mechanics with little trinkets.

I have a few shinies, and the best thing about hunting them was the moment when one finally popped up.
