The whole point of the huge change is to get NEW fans into the series.

That's because they're chaning Tomb Raider for the better.

So why does this deserve so much attention? There's so much rape in other media such as films, so why do games have to cover shit like this up.

I never said I dislike the game, just that it's waay too otaku (I love anime so don't think I hate things like that). I just joined the guild because it was the best in the server, and it turned out the G-leader hated them. :P
