Crosby’s been awesome. He’s been creating opportunities every time he touches the puck.

This is just another reason why, even if he still doesn’t lead the league in points, Crosby is the best player in the NHL.

My favorite part of this play is Crosby giving one last look back to Letang right before the faceoff. It’s the look of “You better not fuck this up.”

If I were a better man, I’d make an NHL/NBA meme about how Barry’s hockey posts are first thing in the AM, but Draper’s Golden State love letters don’t post until late in the day.

If you watch the video of the celebration after the OT goal around the 1:24 mark, there’s a big old bearded guy in the front row doing the facepalm/head cramp of all time. I know that look. That’s the look of a guy who bet the mortgage on the Sharks.

His reception of the pass was more impressive to me. His stick wasn’t on the ice, or even looking for a pass, when it left Letang’s stick. Grabbed it from behind with his right skate wasn’t in a position to expect the puck. Amazing all around for Sheary on that play

Seriously, that’s a hell of a shot right there. Jones had no chance.

Wow, went 5-hole on the defender and top shelf on the goalie. Pretty impressive.

This is, stylistically, a very appealing and accessible matchup. Ratings will be terrible but it’s really a great series for casual fans.

Well written, Barry. This is exactly how I’ve watched him over the years. This team around him seems ready to accept what he has to offer. The “kids” knew he was a superstar, and now have the rare opportunity to have a future Hall-of-Famer, feed their young careers at a critical time. Great to be a Pens fan right now!

As a Preds fan, it’s been hard watching these games because they are so close and the Sharks just edge them out. It’s also difficult because the Sharks are pretty un-hateable.
