C/E question:

It's like a no-win situation. I take a break, and then I go back, but it's the same kind of dudes. Most of the guys my age (40) want to take women 15-20 years younger. Most of the ones who contact me are either just looking for sex. Then I get bitter-er.

I didn't think it was rude. I thought it was like a "hey, what's up?" I've had guys do that to me and I never took it the wrong way.

I'm actually fat, a size 22/24. This semester, I told the students what would be helpful for me on their evaluations (what lessons worked, what didn't work). I'm hoping that might curb the more horrible comments.

I'm in North East U.S. Why?

My teaching evaluations always make me cry, in good and bad ways. I'm either the best teacher they ever had and inspired them to make a life change or I'm the fat bitch from hell.

In tonight's: Tales from Online Dating: This guy emailed me, sounded interesting. Even though I'm slammed with finals, I wrote back. We exchanged a couple emails. Then I don't hear from him for several days. So I sent him a "?"

I'm not pissy. I'm an English teacher. You made the mistake several times, so it wasn't just a random thing. You can either get defensive about it, or fix it. Your choice.

I'm sorry, but it's your not you're. Paying your dues. Your dream. The least your college could have done for you was teach you the proper form.

Mom: What are you going to do with the cats when we come visit?

Actually, I find two cats easier because they play with each other. When I travel, they kind of reassure each other and help chill each other out.

You're not. You are just hibernating a little... and that's ok!

I'm sure Duane Reade has one too. Simplest answer: Radio Shack.

It's absolutely beautiful here tonight and I'm alone, with a headache and stressing stressing. There is just so much going on with job, health, house.

I highly recommend the Renegade Writers book Query Letters that Rock. It's like $6 and it's an amazing help for anyone wanting to freelance.

You can get a watch battery at Rite Aid.

I'm glad that worked for YOU. If you'd had asked me, I would have told you that I'm alone 90 percent of the time because of my job, so I'm way more motivated if I can work out in a group.

Girl, I'm right there with you. I get the barking a lot too. The worst is when I'm out with my friends and guys moo at me - and I thought I looked pretty.

I'm a big fat fattie. What would help me is a place where I feel safe to exercise. Like a gym where fat people are welcomed, and instructors who are ok with working with someone who has 100 pounds to lose.

I think encouragement comes in a couple forms:
