My anxiety always gets bad at the beginning and end of every semester. It's about the anticipation of it all. It's very scary. Does talking to someone help? Meditation? Journaling? For me, distraction really helps.

I love the kittehs, but they are not amused by the halftime show. Because they are just like, really? you want me to do what? There's no human interaction for the kitties, so they just sort of sit there. Which is adorable, but the puppies do win this round!

Oh Penguin, I'm sorry. If it helps, tell us about him. What were his silly little quirks? Did he do a special dance for you when you got home? Just know that it's OK to be as sad as you want, as long as you want.

I'm at home, watching Dog Whisperer, eating homemade Chunky brownies (raisins, pecans, double chocolate) and enjoying being inside on a snowy day. While I'd like a little snuggling, I don't really miss the drama of having a boyfriend.

Are you interested at all in sports? Or any sort of team anything? Because then you won't be reliant on one person. Even if it's an intramural non-competitive thing, everyone tends to hang out together after.

The whole confidence thing? It doesn't happen overnight. I do find that when I turned 40, I truly stopped caring what other people thought of me. Most of the time ;)
